My research focuses on labor and gender economics, particularly gender wage gaps and discrimination in the labor market, exploring how household structure, unpaid work, and gender norms shape women's economic outcomes and give rise to child penalties.

I also study the economic dimensions of domestic violence and its links to women's employment and social mobility. In addition, I work in health and environmental economics, examining the effects of air pollution on infant mortality, the impact of extreme temperatures on school performance, and the labor market consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
